US: The Milwaukee Radio Alliance (FM 102/1, B93.3, FONZ-FM) is a three station radio cluster with digital assets serving the Milwaukee, WI DMA. We are Main Street Broadcasters in a Wall Street world. We are a small, nimble, responsive team unfettered by “corporate”. We value honesty, creativity, load sharing, hard work and fun. We are in need of an ideation and execution person, parlaying our assets into revenue driving events which satisfy the needs of area advertisers while satisfying the lifestyles, needs/wants of our respective audiences. We need a “big picture” person who can imagine it and make it happen!
YOU: Maybe you’ve worked as a Promotions Director in a media environment? Maybe you’ve worked for an events company? You definitely are a right brain/left brain person who is passionate and hard working. You see trends unfold and capitalize on them by creating larger than life events and promotions which amaze our listeners while shoring up our bottom line. You are drawn to project management, don’t see details as devils, and have experience leading teams to make ideas into realities. You are very comfortable pitching ideas to clients and prospective clients.

The Milwaukee Radio Alliance is recruiting for an entry level Account Executive to develop and maintain new business clients; offer solutions that help clients achieve business goals; meet sales targets.
This is an outside, commissioned sales position in which you would be accountable for selling commercial advertising for three phenomenal radio stations, digital marketing solutions and promotional events to local and regional business owners.
Must be highly assertive, trustworthy, and creative. The ideal candidates will meet deadlines, be self-motivated with great follow through skills and create a sense of urgency. This is a fast-paced, supportive environment, successful AE’s must thrive under pressure and find ways to solve customer challenges. We offer comprehensive training for you to succeed.
Candidates must drive their own vehicle with a valid driver’s license and state mandated auto insurance.
Education Requirements: College degree preferred.
Basic skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Sales experience is preferred
Digital sales experience is a plus

If you can answer all these questions with an enthusiastic “YES,” then an internship at the Milwaukee Radio Alliance might be right for you! The MRA is a local, independently owned company consisting of three radio stations: B93.3 WLDB, FM102/1 WLUM, and Milwaukee’s True Oldies, WZTI-FM/AM. Interns at the Milwaukee Radio Alliance dedicate a majority of their time to the promotions department for WLDB and WLUM.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Set-up, execution, and tear down of station events (concerts/shows, community events, bar events, retail events, and more)
• Being the “face” of our radio stations and acting as a brand ambassador for the MRA in public
• Building and maintaining listener databases
• Light website maintenance, including content and photos
• Occasionally assisting programming, sales, and production departments
• Other duties as assigned
Interns must be at least 18 years of age and willing to dedicate 10-15 hours a week to the station (sometimes more, sometimes less depending on the time of the year). Interns are expected to be with the station for at least three months, but may continue the internship beyond that. Internships are unpaid, but can be taken for school credit. The goal of the internship is to find out if radio is the right career for you and to prepare you for a career working in the media.
