Milwaukee Oyster Roast - Saturday, 4/26

Don't miss the 11th Annual Milwaukee Oyster Roast on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Horny Goat Hideaway (2011 S. 1st St. in Milwaukee), and help raise funds for three cancer charities: This Time Tomorrow Foundation (TTTF), The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Movember Foundation.

Popular in South Carolina and other “low country” states, oyster roasts involve generous amounts of freshly-steamed oysters and plenty of beer, wine, music and fun. The evening will feature all-you-can-eat, steamed South Carolina oysters alongside a mouthwatering mix of creole and low-country comfort foods. This year, organizers are having 50 bushels of cluster oysters shipped up from Bowens Island, South Carolina. Last year’s Oyster Roast raised more than $100,000 for charity, and the goal this year is to surpass that number. Attendees can also enjoy raw oysters served up by Maxie’s Southern Comfort, and food and beverage samples from local vendors. Attendees can help the cause by bidding on the silent auction, raffle and more, while enjoying live music from Spoiled Rotten, ZyFy, The Stangs and Evan Christian, drinks and dancing.

Tickets are on sale for $100 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.mkeroast.org. All proceeds from the oyster roast will be donated to the three cancer
charities. For more information on LLS visit www.lls.org, on TTTF visit thistimetomorrow.org, and on Movember visit us.movember.com.
