Milwaukee's Finest Recognition Event - 5/23

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) will be honoring Milwaukee’s Finest young professionals, who show exemplary leadership, are active in their community, and have excelled in their profession or business, at their 2nd Annual Recognition Event on Thursday, May 23 at Coast at Zilli Lake and Gardens (931 E. Wisconsin Ave.) from 7-9:30p. The honorees will receive many benefits including the personal satisfaction of helping to save the lives of children and adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) – a life-threatening disease.

The CFF Milwaukee’s Finest campaign begins with an honoree kick-off reception on Thursday, March 14 at The Miller Room at O'Donnell Park (931 E. Wisconsin Ave.) from 6-8:30p, where the 2013 honorees and their respective nominators will be introduced. Honorees will also receive a fundraising packet, and will be assigned a CF ambassador and a fundraising mentor. Throughout the 10-week campaign, one-on-one meetings, conference calls and networking events will take place. The campaign culminates with the Recognition Event in May.

"Hop 'n Shop, Wine 'n Dine" aboard the Milwaukee Trolley Loop, Wednesdays - Saturdays. Offering visitors a connection to attractions and summer activities throughout Westown, East Town and the Historic Third Ward, the Milwaukee Trolley Loop links riders to the Milwaukee Public Market, Delta Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Jazz in the Park, River Rhythms, farm markets, Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, Betty Brinn Children's Museum, and the theater and hotel districts. Other highlights along the route include the connectivity to street-level retail, restaurants, spas and salons. Two trolleys will service the route to offer 20-minute headways at designated stops. One complete loop is 40 minutes. Fare is $1 per person, round trip.

This six-week festival will spread holiday spirit with animated light displays in Cathedral Square Park, Pere Marquette Park and Zeidler Union Square, and hundreds of events. Marvel at the spectacular sights aboard the convenient Jingle Bus, a Coach USA bus that takes visitors on a 40-minute tour. For $1 per person, visitors can relish in the holiday spirit while admiring a festive panorama. The tour is narrated by Milwaukee Downtown’s Public Service Ambassadors who will acquaint riders with key attractions and landmarks. Tours operate Thursdays through Sundays from 6-9 p.m. from The Shops of Grand Avenue.
